Our Essentials Formula Turkey & Bison has a high meat content and boasts an ideal balance of protein and fat, with a calcium to phosphorus ratio of 1.4:1 and 3.6 grams of calcium per 1000 calories, making this an ideal meal for both puppies and adult dogs.
Bison is naturally leaner than beef and is high in beta carotene. Bison heart is a lean and highly nutritious muscle meat, high in protein, iron, zinc, and selenium. Bison has a complete amino acid profile, meaning it provides all the amino acids your dog needs. Bison liver and kidney provide vitamin A, D, riboflavin, thiamine, niacin, B6, B12, pantothenic acid, iron, zinc, and taurine. Turkey is high in selenium, vitamin B3 and B6, and is an excellent source of protein. Turkey is also a great source of tryptophan, which produces serotonin and plays an important role in strengthening the immune system.
