A perfect blend of two less common protein sources. Our Essentials Formula Turkey & Bison has a high meat content and boasts an ideal balance of protein and fat, with a calcium to phosphorus ratio of 1.4:1 and 3.6 grams of calcium per 1000 calories, making this an ideal meal for both puppies and adult dogs.
Bison is naturally leaner than beef and is high in beta carotene. Bison heart is a lean and highly nutritious muscle meat, high in protein, iron, zinc, and selenium. Bison has a complete amino acid profile, meaning it provides all the amino acids your dog needs. Bison liver and kidney provide vitamin A, D, riboflavin, thiamine, niacin, B6, B12, pantothenic acid, iron, zinc, and taurine. Turkey is high in selenium, vitamin B3 and B6, and is an excellent source of protein. Turkey is also a great source of tryptophan, which produces serotonin and plays an important role in strengthening the immune system. A fully ground meal containing all the essential components of a raw diet and nothing else.

Feed 2-3% of your dog's ideal body weight daily. Feed 2-3% of your puppies expected adult body weight, divided into 2-3 meals daily.
To portion the tubes, leave in fridge for 6-10 hours, cut into desired size and refreeze.
If fully defrosting, run tube under warm water for 5 secdonds. Cut off plastic, place into sealed container, defrost and feed within 4 days.
Store pet food separately from human food.
Hello some of the packages of food particularly the beef/turkey and duck/pork are much smaller than the other packages and definitely not 1 lb
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have recently switched suppliers for our tubes because we were having issues with tubes breaking when they froze. With the new tubes we are seeing some inconsistency with the diameter of the new tubes making some tubes shorter and wider than others which gives the impression that they are smaller than others. We are very diligent to make sure that the weights are correct, if you are able to get a weight on the tubes I can bring up the issue with the staff and ensure that we rectify the issue.

We have been feeding Back to Basics raw food for quite a few years combining various protein for a complete amino acid profile. The Bison and Turkey is an excellent choice for our Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers with lots of lean protein. The quality of the food is consistently excellent and our dogs stay in top condition on this diet!
