BE AWARE like all raw meat products the raw meaty bones, balancer, and full meals must be refrigerated after thawing. It is best to thaw the product while still sealed by submerging it in cold water or allowing it to thaw in the refrigerator. You can allow the package to soften enough to break it into smaller pieces and then freeze the remainder. Refrigerate the unused portion; meat will keep fresh in the refrigerator for approximately 3-4 days. It can stay frozen for up to 6 months. Like with human food when in doubt throw it out.
Back to basics raw pet food will not be held responsible for sickness or death caused by pet food not properly stored or handled. If you have any questions or concerns over how to properly handle or store the pet food please contact back to basics at 403-771-7950.
